From the beginning of Term 2 2017,  our Kererū Year 5 and 6 students have had the option of bringing their own Chromebooks to school.  We want to give them the opportunity to use the internet for their learning whenever it is needed.

For information regarding our rationale for this programme, please refer to the Parent Information Evening slideshow and FAQ below.

Chromebooks are becoming increasingly used in schools, so you should be able to purchase one from any of the regular tech suppliers, such as Noel Leeming, Harvey Norman, etc.  Most are now starting to provide bundles for students, including warranty and insurance options, which you can find out about in-store or online.  Ask them about three-year warranties and accidental damage insurance.  We use 2GB Chromebooks at school because they are cheaper and they work adequately for how we are using them at the moment, but consider the 4GB options as they will perform better.
