Bring Your Own Chromebook (BYOC)
In Year 5 & 6, our Kererū Syndicate, students have the option of bringing their own Chromebooks to school.
Being able to effectively use Digital Technology is a key 21st century skill. More and more resources are only available online, and it is vital that our young people are able to access, understand and use online information in a respectful and responsible way. To be able to learn how to do this effectively requires students to have access to the technology as and when they need it.
Chromebooks are becoming increasingly used in schools. They are relatively cheap, easy to maintain and manage, and connect perfectly with the Google Apps for Education suite students at Redwood School use. They are also the preferred device at Tawa Intermediate.
Chromebooks are available from a wide range of providers, and many offer competitive deals including cases, warranty and insurance options.
